Retro 14K Diamond Ruby Earrings

These lovely and classic retro earrings were made circa 1940. At that time, after the war, especially in Europe, copper was added to gold and this is why there was so much rose gold during this period. Jewellery lines became less streamlined as with Art Deco and would become more sleek. The cone would replace the cube. Jewellery design became inspired by nature but would be more stylized in appearance. These beautiful earrings are an excellent example of this time in history. They are completely hand made with diamonds and rubies and rose gold. The design is delicate yet bold and distinctive. The diamond and rose gold lily enfolds a lovely daisy-like ruby flower with a diamond center. They are supported by a soft flowing stem and leaf. These earrings are clip-ons, however, they can be easily converted to accommodate your needs. The gold has been tested and they are 14kt white, yellow and rose gold. The total weight of the pair is 13.7 grams and each piece is approximately 3 1/4 cm in length.

This would be a completely unique and elegant addition to any jewellery collection.
