This amazing necklace was made in Italy. It has been called a "snake" design by other vendors. The construction is superior with a flexible accordion-like link that hugs the neck beautifully. I believe it is an early version of the classic snake necklace made circa 1970. The necklace is 18KT gold. The gold stamps and maker's mark are clearly on the tongue of the closure. The necklace features diamond bands on the central portion which add a beautifully elegant, rich look to this magnificent piece. The diamonds are Single Cut and of excellent quality. The necklace measures 16 inches in length and is in good condition. It is finished by a simple tongue and groove closure which snaps crisply into place.
