This fantastic garnet necklace is late Victorian. It consists of 55 Oval and Round orange-toned garnets. The colour is rare for a garnet and they are beautifully matched. The necklace is completely hand made. It is 14kt and 18kt yellow gold. The clasp has been replaced and is sterling silver which has been gold plated. This may have been done circa 1940. The quality of the garnets is fantastic. The colour is strong and crisp and transparent. The design of the bracelet takes you to the era when the Titanic sailed. This necklace has beautiful movement and lays elegantly on the neck.
