A spectacular Amethyst pendant set in 14kt white gold. The rectangular step cut amethyst with cut corners weights over 118. cts. It is a medium dark purple with strong saturation and is eye clean. It is set in an open cage basket type mount allowing light to reflect through the gem. The top of the amethyst is crowned by a delicate bow set with 29 diamonds - .48 cts tw. the large gold bail ( loop ) opens to accommodate a substantial chain or this can be used a a pearl enhancer. The pendant measures 1 & 1/4 by 1 & 3/4 inches. From the top of the loop it measures 2.5 inches. This piece is in excellent condition.
