Circa 1920, this wonderful original Art Deco brooch is composed of two portions. A bar brooch set in Platinum with Sapphires and Diamonds is tethered to a hexagonal geometric plaque with round Diamond and Sapphire lattice channels. This suspends a tapering line of Sapphires and Diamonds terminating in a collet-set round Diamond weighting .75 cts. Tiny links between the hexagonal plaque and terminating diamond allow for delicate movement. Completely hand made this original Art Deco piece is a study in expert workmanship and a delightful " Object " and collector's piece. Custom cut sapphires weight approximately 1.1ct. and diamonds weight approximately 2.50cts. They are G-H, VS - SI quality. The major portion of the brooch measures 15 x 65 mm. and the bar brooch is 19 mm. long. It is in very good condition.
