Product Details

A pair of Kutchinsky ear clips set in 18 kt. yellow and white gold with bright white high quality round diamonds. As well as being signed Kutchinsky in script the earrings bare English hallmarks for London, 18kt. and the date mark of 1978. The geometric tapering plaques hold approximately 1ct. of F-G, VS quality diamonds and the face of the earrings is white gold. The ear clips measure just under 1 inch in length and just over 1/2 inch at the widest point, are finished with a clip and post and are in very good condition.

The history of the House of Kutchinsky dates back to 1893 in the UK when the family settled in London. They brought with them many years of jewelry making experience most notably as jewelers to the court of Ludwig of Bavaria. In 1928 Joseph, then 14, joined his grandfather and father in the business and learned all aspects, especially the importance of incomparable customer service and expert craftsmanship. Once his own sons finished their education they too joined the company and the business thrived. They catered to London's finest clientele and customer as far away as the Middle East. In 1991 the business was sold to a rival jewelry company in London.
