A pair of Toni Cavelti Platinum and Diamond ear clips circa 1992-1994.

"Born in Switzerland, Toni Cavelti began his first internship in goldsmithing at 15 and by age 19 he had earned a solid reputation among other jewelry designers. He took up residents in Geneva and then moved to Vancouver where he says he is happiest. His Avant Garde designs evolved here with the influence of Haida artist Bill Reid and in 1957 he won the New York Diamond International Award. He has made jewelry for many well known individuals including the Queen of England.

Creating a mix of commissioned pieces and his own designs he used only the highest quality diamonds, pearls and gemstones and spent endless hours soldering, bending and cutting precious metals to bring his creations to life.

Birks has dubbed him a master jeweler who mixes European craftsmanship with contemporary design."

The oval form earrings center a pair of round diamonds weighting 2.00 cts. framed by pave set round diamonds and accented by a baguette cut diamond ( 2.30 cts. )for a total of 4.30 carats. - F,G Vs Si1. They are mounted in platinum and 18kt. gold with maker's mark for Cavelti and come with their original box. The earrings weigh 13.1 grams and measure just over 3/4 of an inch long and 1/2 inch wide. Finished with a clip and post, these earrings are in excellent condition.
